Job Description
Assistants join our team as support persons in caring for the needs of the children. Following the modeling of the guide, assistants offer support to the children in a manner consistent with the Montessori philosophy. Assistants play a support role with the team. An assistant receives an hourly rate of pay and is scheduled a consistent daily shift up to 8 hours a day in 7:30-4:30, 8-5, 8:30-5:30, 9-6, or 10-6 time slots. Salary is based on experience and education. We enjoy having members of our team who are passionate about furthering their education and working with young children. Our goal is to hire professional employees who value caring for young children. Previous experience in Montessori is preferred, but not required. This is a great position for college students looking to get experience working with young children. There are opportunities for professional growth and development, mentorship, and career advancement.
We are a Full Member AMS Affiliated Montessori School serving children 2 months old – 6 years of age. We are open year-round from 7am-6pm. For our Montessori School, you must hold a Montessori credential as a certified Montessori Instructor to lead the classroom.
